How much does website maintenance cost in Medellín?
In the Colombian market, mandatory maintenance contracts run COP 150,000 to 900,000 per month, often as a condition for keeping the site. At WebMedellin.co maintenance is optional: Secure hosting COP 99,000, Website care COP 199,000 and Local growth COP 399,000 per month, with no commitment and no site lock-in.
The important difference is not just the monthly price: it is what happens if you stop paying. With many providers, cancelling maintenance means losing the hosting, the files or even the domain. Here the site is yours from day one: the first year of hosting is included in the project price, and afterwards you decide whether to continue with us, move it to another provider, or manage it yourself.
Costs that do exist after the first year, plan or no plan: the domain renewal (COP 40,000–150,000 per year depending on the extension) and hosting. We tell you before you sign, not after.
Maintenance FAQ
Is monthly maintenance mandatory?
No. Every plan is optional. The site works the same without one: you can manage it yourself or with another provider. Many Colombian contracts bundle mandatory maintenance of COP 150,000–900,000 per month; here they don't.
What happens if I cancel a plan?
You lose nothing. The site, domain, files and access are yours. We hand over what applies and you can move it to another provider or manage it internally.
Can I hire hosting only?
Yes. Secure hosting (COP 99,000/month) covers hosting, SSL, backups, monitoring and technical support, without content changes.
What does the one hour of changes in Website care cover?
Text, photo, price or schedule adjustments. Redesigns, new pages or additional features are quoted separately as a project.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No mandatory long contract. Plans are paid month to month and can be cancelled.
